Welcome to Fallbrook “the friendly village”, also known as the avocado capital of the world and host of the famous annual Avocado Festival!! Fallbrook has an inland, rural vibe. Settled in the late 1800s, Fallbrook is home to one of the county’s oldest schoolhouses, The Reche Schoolhouse, and many of its downtown buildings are original. Olives flourished here in the 1920s, and today the area is replete with oak, avocado, and citrus trees. You can also shop one-of-a-kind originals in the center’s gift shop. Movie buffs catch award-winning films in Fallbrook at the retro Mission Theater, a “heart-of-downtown” hot spot since 1948. Golfers love that Fallbrook is home to the spectacular public Golf Club of California and Pala Mesa Resort.
